General Review

 

Jane had left her position as a successful salesperson in the fleet management industry several years ago for family reasons.  When the issues were resolved she took a bridge job in the talent management industry and came to R. L. Stevens for assistance in achieving her career goals.  She lacked confidence because she had never had to look for a job at the position level she was qualified for, and she was concerned about the perception and reality of having been out of the industry for 3 years.

 

Jane discussed career alternatives with her consultant and together they established a marketing plan.  Jane proceeded with her dual approach:  1) seeking a sales position in vehicle fleet management; and 2) researching the health industry – particularly preventive health.  Her consultant provided research on companies that focused on her goals and worked with her on how to obtain quality interviews and gain information.  Jane also worked with her consultant to improve her interviewing skills and her communication strategy, having never been interviewed at this level before.

 

Jane rather quickly landed a position at one of the top companies in fleet management, after several weeks of interviewing.  She expects to be making over 6 figures in her second year.  She is very excited with her key account position that has an established territory and the ability to grow.
