In his early 60’s, Ronnie’s company was struggling and he was finding it more and more challenging to keep up with the low-cost competition, so after 30 years of owning his horticulture business, he closed the doors. Financially comfortable, Ronnie’s passion for life and creativity made it impossible for him to even think about retiring. He researched R.L. Stevens & Associates’ capabilities and realized this service was exactly what he needed to help him organize his campaign, develop a good resume, and provide assistance with finding a good fit to transfer his life skills.

Realizing it had been over 30 years since Ronnie had been in the job search, his consultant carefully developed a strategic marketing plan to approach unadvertised opportunities. Select companies that would be more incline to hire “mature” candidates were provided to target, including contact information on decision makers. Effective targeted communication skills were taught to assist Ronnie in his campaign.

Within only a few weeks, Ronnie secured a position in horticulture for a municipal’ owned golf course…. how perfect for him to continue working on the land, meeting new people and enjoying life!  He successfully changed industries while still doing what he enjoyed! On top of all that-Ronnie now has benefits he never had before (including retirement J) with a very flexible schedule! But even more important, is the ongoing benefit of no longer being worried about where the next contract job came from.
