Patricia had been a senior consultant for a startup IT consulting firm which had lost several of its major clients during the recent economic downturn and was forced to close its doors. She excelled in her field and wanted to continue in strategy consulting with a larger, better financed firm but had no success in her job finding efforts prior to coming to R.L. Stevens & Associates.
A focused career marketing campaign was developed by her RLS consultant that included an outstanding resume, targeted approach letters, networking strategies and a marketing action plan. Patricia’s consultant also provided deep level market research, decision maker names, intel on the hiring pattern, research on competition, and targeted openings which together provided an interview with a top notch consulting firm within several weeks.
After interviewing all the top management of the consulting firm, Patricia was offered a position as Vice President with a compensation package that was similar to her last job. Both she and her RLS consultant thought she was worth more even in this economy and together, with Patricia going back and forth with the company over a two day period, the negotiating strategy she and her consultant devised resulted in a $50,000 increase in compensation, an “instant promotion” to Senior Vice President and stock options, to boot!
