General Review
Carole had relocated from California and knew nobody in the metro area. She came to R.L. Stevens & Associates to help her leverage her experience and explore new opportunities.
Carole had a hard time marketing her skill sets as she was unemployed in a depressed real estate market. Although she was the right hand person for her former boss, her title “Executive Administrator/Project Coordinator” did not accurately reflect her areas of responsibilities. Her consultant positioned her resume to include the right “buzz” words – Organizational Development, Employee Relations, Public Relations, and Financial Forecasting. She also coached her on interview development and provided her published and unpublished research which enabled her to set-up meetings with senior-level executives.
Within three months, Carole had met with some of the “movers and shakers” in the community. She was able to WOW them with her background and market her unique skill sets. Unemployed, Carole was able to take the skill sets she had learned in the competitive real estate market and find employment in the legal market within a reasonable amount of time. As Office Manager, her background was well suited for her new position and she was well paid.
