General Review

There were four major hurdles in Jerry’s campaign:

  1. he had no degree

  2. he had spent the past 30 years in the same industry

  3. his age lent to the reality of limited opportunity

  4. limited publishing positions available within his geographical target

Jerry and the staff at RLS determined that his best options, without relocating to another city were going to be in production or quality of some kind.  Jerry and his consultant worked on a marketing strategy and his interviewing skills.  He was provided with a very targeted resume showing his transferrable skills that are marketable in his targeted industries.  He was provided with spot opportunities, unadvertised research, and decision maker names… the rest is best told by the clients’ email:

“I’ve spent so much of my time in quality assurance and prevention of production error that I’ve been extended an offer in the arena of quality assurance.  They are going to want me to help them achieve an ISO certification, which I’ve done once before.  They offered me $35,000.  I got them to add an additional $3600 by opting out of the company insurance.  They also agreed to a review and positional/salary adjustment at the completion of my first 6 months.  Looks like it’s time for you to add me to your grid of success stories.”
