GENERAL REVIEW

Mark had progressed for many years with his company, climbing to the position of Plant General Manager.  Just when he thought his career was set, the company restructured.  In order to keep his job, Mark would have to agree to relocation to an undesirable area.  He was also concerned about the future growth of the company, and future opportunities for himself if he stayed.  He opted to be proactive, and became an R. L. Stevens client.
 

Together with his consultant, Mark established his target market in terms of industry, position and geography.  An effective resume was written; and Mark implemented the comprehensive Marketing Action Plan his consultant created utilizing multiple simultaneous strategies.
 

The severance package he received allowed Mark to be selective.  He took a lot of time researching companies and industries both through the RLS Client Services Center, and utilizing the Contact Development techniques his consultant taught him.  In the end, he had three firm opportunities to choose from; all in his hometown.
