GENERAL
REVIEW
Jonathan had worked in every department within a
manufacturing setting; design, production, quality, engineering, and testing. In
each of those departments he had also managed projects from concept to
implementation and supervised other employees.
During one of our initial meetings, I asked Jonathan if
there was anything that any of his direct superiors had done, which he could
not also do? He said “no” and that was when we began discussing why it was
time to stop moving around within a company, but rather why he was ready to
move up a ladder within an organization into a position of key authority and
responsibility.
This was a significant change in outlook for Jonathan. It
involved discovering how his abilities and his transferable skills could
best be leveraged for his own benefit. He realized that he had in fact
settled for small and medium size changes in title and compensation throughout his career and it was now past time to capitalize and establish an
opportunity which would be the culmination of all his positions,
experiences, and responsibilities.
