#SHRM13 Chicago

The Annual SHRM Conference is about to hit Chicago (our hometown) this year with many attendees already hitting the town early to experience all the city has to offer.  #SHRM13 is letting us hit the conference and expo, and as such all next week we’ll be talking up the latest trends, technology, and speakers from the event on Interviewing.com.

There’s lots to look forward to this year and we’re sure a few surprises in store along the way.  In case you’re still mentally preparing yourself for the fun few days ahead, here’s a few items you might want to check out:

The first place you should start is SHRM’s very own guide to What to Know Before You Go:

Everyone likes a good party and this year Jessica Miller-Merrel of Blogging4Jobs has once again put together the Unofficial SHRM Party Guide.  In case you enjoy visuals, Hireology has also turned most of the information into an infographic.

(Insider’s note: be sure to Text ‘SHRM’ to 55678 to receive conference party reminders, announcements and other happenings sent via text courtesy of B4J & check out Jessica’s other great guides on attending SHRM and visiting Chicago)

Speaking of Hireology, they’ve also created their own Welcome to Chicago: A Guide to SHRM 2013 worth checking out. (But, you will have to fill out a form to get access to it.)

A must-not-miss for this year: Hang out with Fistful of Talent on Monday, June 17th, at 2:30pm as they Occupy the Hive and get everyone talking.

Planning to explore Chicago’s amazing restaurant scene while you’re in the city?  Bryan Wempen of Drive Thru HR has claimed himself as the unofficial food writer for SHRM so be sure to tag your food experiences per his tweet.

Have a great SHRM Conference resource we missed?  Know of an event, get together or happening that didn’t already make someone else’s list?  Or are you just attending SHRM and want to give a shout out to let everyone know so we can all say hello?  Share in the comments below and see you soon in Chicago! #SHRM13
