Minneapolis is the 15th largest city in the United States and has plenty of opportunities for workers who are looking to relocate to a larger midwestern city.
Take advantage of the outdoors in the summer & winter, including the parks and hiking trails. Of course, there is a huge sports scene and all sorts of activities for people look for lots of nightlife or a low-key experience across the river in St. Paul.
In terms of cost of living, Minneapolis is slightly above the national average but about 10% beneath Chicago so your paycheck will go a bit further.
